Can a Physical Therapist transfer a license to Wyoming as a military spouse?
Yes. Wyoming is a member of the Physical Therapy Compact (PT Compact), so a Physical Therapist holding a multistate/compact license can practice in WY without re-applying. Compact privilege is purchased per state where you want to practice. Military spouses moving to a non-member state can use VAEIA 2022 portability.
Your physical therapy licensing board in Wyoming
Under Wyoming Statute 33-1-117, professional and occupational licensing boards governed by Title 33 (which includes the Board of Physical Therapy and excludes only attorneys and prescriptive-authority boards) may grant an expedited license and may issue a temporary permit valid up to 120 days to a qualifying military spouse who holds an equivalent license in another jurisdiction.
