Got a wild idea? We build for service members — not the brass, not shareholders. If it's good, it ships.

The Honest MOS Constitution

Ratified 2026. Amended: never. Violated: never.

We, the people who actually did the job, establish this platform to provide for the common truth, promote the general honesty, and secure the blessings of information to ourselves and every unlucky soul sitting in a recruiter's office right now.
I

Anonymity by Default

Every piece of user content defaults to Ghost mode — fully anonymous. No name, no rank, no unit, no base. Just the truth, stripped of everything that could be traced back to you.

You choose how much to reveal: Ghost (nothing), Callsign (your MOS and branch), or On the Record (your full profile attached). That choice belongs to you, and you alone. You can change it anytime.

The platform does not gatekeep readers by account type. Anyone can read anything. The protection is not in who can see your post — it's in what they see. A ghost post tells no one who wrote it. That's the only protection that actually holds.

II

Your Identity Is Yours

We will never sell, trade, or expose information that identifies you as an individual.

Your name, your email, your MOS, your base, your rank, your IP address — anything that could be used to figure out who you are — will never be shared with advertisers, partners, researchers, the chain of command, or anyone else.

Anonymized, aggregated data — population-level trends where no individual can be identified — is a different thing. We may use aggregated insights to produce research, reports, and data products that improve military life. But the line between “aggregate trend” and “identifiable person” is a line we treat like a minefield. We don't get close to it.

III

No Retaliation Enablement

We will never build tools, features, or data views that enable someone to identify or retaliate against an anonymous contributor. This includes:

  • No filters that narrow results to identifiable populations
  • No timestamps precise enough to identify individuals on small posts
  • Minimum group sizes on all statistical breakdowns
  • No features that let officials “search for” or “track” contributors
IV

OPSEC Before Everything

Operational security is not moderation. It is product design.

Content is scanned before publication. Risky patterns are flagged or blocked automatically. Users can report OPSEC concerns on any content, and those reports trigger immediate action.

We would rather be annoying than dangerous. Every time.

V

No Doxxing, No Naming, No Targeting

Honest MOS does not allow content that:

  • Names private individuals for the purpose of shame, harassment, or retaliation
  • Provides enough detail to identify a specific person in a sensitive context
  • Targets individuals based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic

Rate the system. Rate the process. Rate the experience. Not the person.

VI

Hate Has No MOS

This platform serves every branch, every rank, every background.

We have zero tolerance for:

  • Racism, including “jokes” that aren't jokes
  • Sexism, misogyny, or content that degrades based on gender
  • Homophobia, transphobia, or attacks on sexual orientation or gender identity
  • Religious bigotry or attacks on faith (or lack of faith)
  • Xenophobia or attacks based on national origin
  • Content that dehumanizes any group of people for any reason

The military is diverse. This platform reflects that. If you can't handle serving alongside someone different from you, that's a you problem — not a platform problem.

Violations result in content removal. Repeat violations result in permanent ban. You have the right to be honest. You do not have the right to be hateful.

VII

Money Never Touches Ratings

Sponsors, advertisers, and partners will never influence ratings, reviews, or content visibility.

No “sponsored reviews.” No “pay to improve your score.” No advertiser gets to affect what you see in a review feed. Editorial and advertising are permanently separated.

We will run ads to keep the lights on. We will partner with organizations that serve the military community. We will be transparent about all of it. But the moment money touches the truth is the moment we've failed.

VIII

Transparency Is Earned

We publish periodic transparency reports that include:

  • Number of content removals and reasons
  • Number of data requests from any entity and our responses
  • Number of accounts banned and categories of violations
  • How we make money and where it comes from
  • Any policy changes and reasoning

Trust is not claimed. It is demonstrated with receipts.

IX

Right to Leave

You can delete your account at any time. When you delete, your personal data is deleted. Your reviews may be retained in anonymized form (no identifying information) to preserve aggregate statistics, or fully deleted upon request.

We don't hold your data hostage.

X

The Sunset Clause

This platform's mission is to become unnecessary.

If the military institutions build their own honest, trusted, safe feedback systems that service members actually trust and use, then Honest MOS will declare mission complete, archive itself, open-source its technology, and stand down.

We are not building an empire. We are running a mission.

And missions end.

Protected by default. Honest by design.
