Your Account

• Valid email required
• You are responsible for your account security
• Minimum age: 13 (16 in EU/UK)
• One account per person
• Don't impersonate others or misrepresent your service history
• Falsifying verification is grounds for permanent ban

Your Content

• You own your content. Honest MOS does not claim ownership of your reviews, stories, or posts.
• By posting, you grant Honest MOS a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote your content on the platform and in marketing materials (social media cards, newsletters, reports). This license is necessary for the platform to function.
• Your content may contribute to anonymized, aggregated statistics and data products. Individual content is never sold or shared in identifiable form.
• You can delete your content at any time. Deleted content is removed from the platform. Aggregated statistics derived from your content may persist in anonymized form.
• You are responsible for the accuracy and honesty of your content.

Monetization & Data Use

• Honest MOS displays contextual advertising to sustain the platform
• Affiliate links may appear on relevant pages, always labeled
• Anonymized, aggregated data may be used to produce research reports, trend analyses, and data products sold to third parties
• Your individual data is never sold. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
• Advertising and monetization never influence content, ratings, or reviews

OPSEC Responsibility

• All content is scanned by our OPSEC system before publication
• You agree not to post classified information or operational details
• While we scan for OPSEC risks, you share responsibility for what you post
• If you have a security clearance, you already know the rules. This platform doesn't change them.

Platform Rules

• Don't abuse the platform (spam, manipulation, brigading, large-scale scraping)
• Don't attempt to identify anonymous users
• Don't use the platform to harass, threaten, or retaliate
• Don't use bots or automated tools without permission
• Don't circumvent security, verification, or content restrictions
• Follow our Community Standards

Intellectual Property

• The Honest MOS platform, design, and branding are owned by Honest MOS
• Government data on the platform (MOS descriptions, salary data, etc.) is public domain
• User content is owned by its creators
• You may share and screenshot content with attribution (we encourage it)
• Don't scrape at scale or republish substantial portions without permission

Disclaimers

• Honest MOS is not the Department of Defense or any branch of service
• Content represents individual experiences and opinions
• We don't provide legal, financial, medical, or career advice
• Aggregate statistics are based on user submissions and may not represent all experiences
• We work to verify and moderate content but make no guarantees of complete accuracy

Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided “as is.” We do our best to keep it running, accurate, and safe, but we're not liable for user-generated content or decisions you make based on information found here. Maximum liability is limited to fees you've paid us in the last 12 months (which, if you're using the free platform, is zero).

Dispute Resolution

Standard arbitration or venue clause. Pending legal review.

Termination

• Close your account anytime via profile settings
• We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
• Moderation decisions are logged and appealable
• On termination, personal data handled per our Privacy Policy

Changes

• Material changes announced via email with 30 days notice
• Continued use means acceptance
• We never retroactively change protections on existing protected content
