Your job is hard. Here’s the free toolkit.
Honest MOS is a non-commercial military transparency platform built by veterans. We aren’t here to tell you how to do your job. We’re here to take four of the repeatable headaches off your plate — pre-MEPS medical surprises, ASVAB-to-MOS math, Future Soldier meeting content, and pipeline-conversion arguments — so you can spend your hours on the parts of recruiting that actually require a human.
We publish honest reviews of every MOS. That includes the warts. Reasonable people disagree about whether that helps or hurts a station’s mission box. Our take: an applicant who shows up to BCT knowing the job is the applicant who finishes BCT and stays past their first ETS. We make recruits informed, not adversarial. Use what helps. Ignore what doesn’t. Nothing here is DoD-endorsed and we sell nothing.

The Four Tools
Two are existing Honest MOS tools repositioned for the recruiter handoff. Two are new, built specifically to your day-to-day.
22-question yes/no quiz. Zero PII captured — no name, no DOB, no SSN, never touches a server. Output: risk tier (LOW/MEDIUM/HIGH/CUW) + cited DoDI 6130.03 paragraphs + the documentation packet to bring to MEPS. Send to every applicant before scheduling MEPS; stop spending appointment slots on applicants who were always going to need a 70-day waiver consult.
Real line-score math against the current MOS catalog. They put in GT/CL/MM/EL/ST/GS/AR/AS/MK and see every job they actually qualify for — not just the five your station has open this month. Closes faster because they pick from a known-true list instead of pushing back on "wait, can I do X instead?"
Now .mil verifiedSign in, verify your .mil email, claim your /r/[handle] URL. Your card answers the 30 most-asked applicant + parent questions with your name + station + phone at the top. .mil verification means recruits can trust the card; you stay in control of every field.
New — relationalRecruits who actively clicked Connect on your card. See what MOSs, bases, and playbooks they've saved. You cannot search the platform for applicants — connections are recruit-initiated only, and they can disconnect at any time.
A weekly content sequence for your mandatory Future Soldier meetings, tied to ship date. MOS deep-dive → base preview → BAH math → PT progression → financial readiness → ship-day checklist. Replaces the "I have to wing this Saturday again" problem. Print or share-link any single week.
Put your funnel in (leads → ASVAB → MEPS qual → contracted → shipped → completed BCT). Get back your stage-by-stage conversion vs. the public benchmarks every recruiting command reports up the chain. Walk into your battalion CO's office with the same math they use.
Existing tools that answer the questions you get every week.
The recruiting manuals nobody can search. UM 3-0/3-31, UR 601-208, DAFMAN 36-2032, COMDTINST 1100.2I, MCO 1130.x — plain-English section translations + recruiter-action implications + citation-confidence flags.
What the services are publicly pushing right now. Aggregated from MILPER messages, NAVADMINs, GAO reports, force-growth announcements. Brings the inventory pressure into a single view your applicants can read.
For current and prospective Talent Acquisition Specialists. Selection process, 17-week curriculum, Training With Industry placements (Amazon / Deloitte / Wells Fargo), MILPER 26-187 FY27 window through 30 Sep 2027.
For when the applicant already knows what their flag is. 26 conditions decoded verbatim from DoDI 6130.03 with branch-specific waiver notes and the 28 USMEPCOM CUW flags.
Real 2026 housing allowance by ZIP and grade — answers "how much will I really make" in ten seconds.
The 90-day DEP progression. Walk-run base, push-up build, heat acclimatization. DEP soldiers who fail BCT PT come back to you.
Show them where they're going to live, not the brochure. Cost of living, school quality, climate, real-talk reviews from people stationed there.
The long-game close. What this enlistment actually unlocks — GI Bill, VA loan, state tuition, hiring preference, healthcare.
Domicile decisions made before MEPS. The state they list determines what hits their LES for 6–20 years.
For the applicant whose first question is "will this transfer to a real job." Every Army/Navy/AF/CG COOL credential, mapped to their MOS pick.
12 weeks of Future Soldier meeting content. Written.
You have to hold the meeting whether or not you have an agenda. We wrote the agenda. Every week pulls from existing Honest MOS pages — MOS deep-dive, base preview, BAH math, PT progression, financial readiness, ship-day checklist — into a single weekly card you can print, screen-share, or text. Pick the week that matches your soldier’s ship date.

If your fusion cell, battalion S-3, or innovation cell wants a co-branded version of this hub for your station — with your station identifier, your shop’s phone, and a QR code your DEP soldiers can scan — we’ll build it. No cost, no DoD endorsement implied. We just want to know our tools are landing where they help.
What this page does not do. It does not replace USAREC RZ, MCRISS II, AFRS recruiter portal, NRC NTAG systems, or any official enlistment workflow. It does not collect applicant PII. We have no DoD contract and no DoD endorsement. We are a civilian non-profit-style transparency project built by veterans.
What we do publish elsewhere. The rest of Honest MOS is written for the applicant, not for you. Some of it—by design—publishes what recruiters omit. We’re telling you that up front because it’s the only honest way to ask you to trust the four tools above. If our public content reads as adversarial to your station’s mission, the most useful next step is the partnership email above, not a takedown notice.
