Can a K-12 Public School Teacher transfer a license to Kansas as a military spouse?
Yes. Kansas is a member of the Interstate Teacher Mobility Compact, so a K-12 Public School Teacher holding a multistate/compact license can practice in KS without re-applying. Compact was designed specifically with military families in mind. Outside member states, fall back on VAEIA 2022 or your destination state's spouse provisions.
Your teacher-licensing authority in Kansas
Under K.S.A. 48-3406, the state issues an expedited license to military servicemembers and their spouses who hold a comparable license in another state, and waives all licensing fees for spouses of active-duty members.
