About This Condition

The most aggressive form of primary brain cancer, arising from glial cells (glioblastoma multiforme, GBM). Glioblastoma is difficult to treat and carries a poor prognosis. The PACT Act includes glioblastoma as a presumptive cancer, recognizing both the severity of the disease and the challenges of establishing service connection through traditional evidence.

Evidence Needed

  • Pathology report or tissue biopsy confirming glioblastoma
  • MRI of the brain with and without contrast
  • Neurosurgery and neuro-oncology records
  • Documentation of qualifying service
