Navy Dive School

15 weeks at Panama City, Florida, learning to work underwater on ship hulls, salvage operations, and underwater construction. The pressure testing and water confidence events wash out people early, and the academic portion on dive physics is harder than it sounds. Navy Divers do the work that no one sees — literally. The dive community is small, tight-knit, and unreasonably proud of their helmets. Rightfully so.
