About This Installation
Headquarters of the Fuerza Aérea de Chile (FACh) and home to Ala 1 flying F-16AM/BM Block 15MLU. Chile's most capable fighter base. Chile was the first South American nation to receive F-16 Fighting Falcons and operates 46 in total across two wings. El Bosque is Chile's primary QRA base for the Santiago air defense zone.
