Got a wild idea? We build for service members — not the brass, not shareholders. If it's good, it ships.

The University of New Mexico's Army ROTC program in Albuquerque is notable for being one of only a handful of universities in the country housing all three ROTC branches — Army, Air Force, and Navy — and since 2023 they share a dedicated ROTC Education Complex that consolidates all three programs under one roof. Kirtland Air Force Base and Sandia National Laboratories are in Albuquerque, and while Army-specific installation access is more limited than in some states, the joint-service campus culture gives cadets exposure to multi-domain thinking. The New Mexico Army National Guard is strong, and the Guard pipeline is one of the most traveled commissioning pathways for UNM graduates. Albuquerque's significant Hispanic population and proximity to the US-Mexico border mean the cadet corps frequently includes bilingual candidates with cross-cultural experience. Course performance heavily influences branch and component assignment at this program, consistent with national norms. The program commissions cadets into Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard components.
