Got a wild idea? We build for service members — not the brass, not shareholders. If it's good, it ships.

The Wolf Pack Battalion at the University of Nevada, Reno has been part of campus life since 1888, making it one of the older continuously-operating ROTC programs in the West, and it currently enrolls over 120 cadets. The program operates in a region with limited nearby Army installations — Nevada has no major Army post — which means cadets rely on national training events and National Guard partnerships more than installation-based experiences. The Nevada Army National Guard's commissioning pipeline is strong, and some cadets commission into Nevada Guard units with ties to deployments and domestic operations. Reno's small program size relative to flagship programs in the region means cadets who want early leadership roles can find them, and the cadre-to-cadet ratio supports individual mentoring. Branch selection follows national OML patterns, with an active Guard and Reserve commissioning track. The program has produced officers including Air Defense Artillery and Engineer Corps graduates, reflecting the national branch distribution.
