Ukrainian combined arms doctrine has evolved significantly since 2022 — infantry operates integrated with armour, artillery, and drone assets in ways that were not standard practice before the full-scale invasion. The reality: infantry soldiers face the highest casualty rates in any branch. Rotation schedules are irregular. Unit cohesion and the quality of your immediate commanders matter more than branch or specialty designation. This is a combat infantry role in an ongoing high-intensity war.
