Combat Medic (Бойовий медик)
US and NATO partner nations have trained thousands of Ukrainian combat medics in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) standards since 2022. ZSU combat medics are embedded at squad and platoon level. Casualty rates in sustained combat mean medics operate under continuous high-demand conditions. TCCC-trained medics have significantly improved ZSU casualty survival rates — but the volume of casualties has stretched medical evacuation chains. This is one of the most demanding and consequential roles in the ZSU.

UKRAINE WARTIME OPSEC — HIGHEST PRIORITY. Ukraine is in an active full-scale war. Sharing operational information about ZSU unit locations, movements, force composition, positions, or defensive works is illegal under Ukrainian law and directly endangers lives. This applies to any information that could benefit an adversary. Do not post: unit designations with locations, current defensive positions, ammunition stockpiles, equipment locations, personnel counts, or any information that could be used for targeting. Your honest experience of service conditions, pay, institutional culture, and personal observations does not violate OPSEC. If you are uncertain whether something is operationally sensitive — it is. Leave it out.
