Fighter Pilot
The Egyptian Air Force operates one of the most unusual mixed fleets in the world: F-16C/D Block 40 and Block 52 (US), Dassault Rafale (France — Egypt was the first export customer for the Rafale, signing in 2015 before any other nation), and MiG-29M2 (Russia). Flying a mixed fleet of US, French, and Russian fighters requires pilots to be trained on platforms with fundamentally different avionics architectures, weapons systems, and tactics. The interoperability challenges are real. Egypt's Rafale acquisition was driven partly by French diplomatic support for Egyptian security priorities; the F-16 relationship continues under FMF (Foreign Military Financing). EAF fighter pilots receive training in the US, France, and Russia depending on platform assignment.

Egyptian military OPSEC violations are prosecuted under military and civilian law. Do not disclose: Sinai operational details (unit positions, force composition, patrol routes, engagement areas), intelligence cooperation with the US or other partners, internal command structure details, classified equipment capabilities, or any information that could assist adversaries. Your honest account of training conditions, institutional culture, conscript experience, and career structure does not compromise security. When uncertain — leave it out.
