About This Installation
Ecuador's primary fighter base, home to the Kfir CE/C2 and Super Tucano attack aircraft of the Fuerza Aérea Ecuatoriana. Taura provides air defense for Ecuador's Pacific coast and the Galápagos Islands. The Israeli-built Kfir jets have been the mainstay of Ecuador's air combat capability since 1982.
