About This Installation
Colombia's primary military air base and home of Air Combat Command No. 2 (CACOM-2). Palanquero operates Kfir C10/C12 fighters and A-29 Super Tucanos. Under Plan Colombia, the US had access to this base and the adjacent "Global Hawk" pad. The base sits at the strategic center of Colombia where the Andes meet the Amazon basin, enabling operations across all geographic regions of the country.
