About This Installation
Brazil's primary F-39E/F Gripen NG operational base, home to 1º Grupo de Aviação de Caça (1st Fighter Group "Cangaceiros") and 14º GAv. Brazil is the launch customer for Saab's Gripen E, with 36 aircraft on order. Anápolis's central location makes it the main air defense node for Brazil's interior, with rapid deployment capability to the Amazon and coast.
