You fix the medical equipment that fixes people, which makes you the most important person in the hospital that nobody has ever heard of. 'Biomedical equipment specialist' means you're an electronics technician, a mechanical engineer, and an IT support specialist who works on things that cost more than houses and that people's lives depend on. When the ventilator goes down, you're the one who gets called. When the X-ray machine produces nothing but static, you're the one who gets blamed.
