Xanterra-operated Oasis at Death Valley (Inn at Death Valley and Ranch at Death Valley) offers active, discharged, or retired military 20% off lodging, extended to immediate family with a valid military ID. Xanterra also runs this offer across other properties during Military Family Appreciation Month, but Death Valley's is a standing, verifiable year-round rate on Xanterra's own booking site.
DNC Parks & Resorts at Yellowstone (a Delaware North company, the official concessionaire running Yellowstone's in-park hotels and cabins) offers active duty, reserve, and retired U.S. Armed Forces personnel a discounted best-available-rate on lodging, year-round, subject to space availability. This is separate from the free NPS America the Beautiful pass -- it's a lodging-rate discount from the park's actual hotel operator.
American Airlines waives checked-bag fees for active-duty U.S. military with a valid military ID on American-marketed and -operated flights: up to 5 bags at 100 lbs each when traveling on orders (dependents included), or up to 3 bags at 50 lbs each for personal/leisure travel. Active-duty military with ID also board in Group 1, and American offers government/military fares in some markets. The free-bag benefit does not apply to codeshare flights operated by partner airlines.
