Army Flight School — Initial Entry Rotary Wing

Nine to twelve months at Fort Novosel learning to hover, fly instruments, and not crash a $6 million helicopter. IERW starts with ground school that would challenge a college engineering student, then moves to the flight line where your instructor pilot will save your life multiple times before you solo.
