Free park/forest admission for active NJ National Guard; free beach vehicle permit for disabled veterans
Under N.J.S.A. 13:1L-12, active members of the New Jersey National Guard who have completed Initial Active Duty Training get free admission to NJ state parks and forests (same waiver given to NJ residents 62+ or totally disabled). Separately, the law waives the fee for disabled veterans (any service-connected VA disability rating) to obtain, replace, or renew a permit to operate a motorized vehicle on a state park beach.
