Free lifetime day-use pass for Maine resident veterans

Maine resident veterans with an Honorable or General-Under-Honorable-Conditions discharge get a free day-use pass, valid for life, admitting the pass holder to Maine state parks and historic sites (some sites like Acadia National Park and Baxter State Park are excluded; companions still pay). Separately, active-duty service members (Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, or full-time deployed National Guard) get a renewable 12-month day-use pass that also covers their spouse and unmarried children when accompanying them.
