Crewed the MGM-52 Lance — a tactical ballistic missile that could throw a nuclear or conventional warhead about 75 miles.

The Story

During the system's life the Army flipped the MOS code from 15D to 13N (it migrated from Air Defense to Field Artillery). Crews trained on Honest John and Sergeant before Lance — so a single 20-year career could span three retired Army nuclear missile systems.
