Veteran business benefits in New Hampshire (2026)

Published by the Honest MOS Editorial DeskVerified against DoD/.gov sourcesUpdated August 2026Editorial standards

New Hampshire has 1 verified program for veteran-owned businesses. Everything below is cited to the statute or official program page it came from, with the date we last checked it — because these programs get amended and repealed, and a confident page with a dead benefit on it costs you a filing fee.

New Hampshire's veteran business programme is a recognition scheme rather than a procurement one, and it is aimed at a different question than most of this dataset. It does not ask whether a veteran owns the business — it asks whether the business treats service members and veterans well. That makes it useful to a veteran-owned employer, and equally available to one that is not. We found no New Hampshire veteran contracting preference, and could not confirm the absence to our standard either, so this page lists what is verified and does not guess.

NH Veteran-Friendly Business recognition — free, and it screens you first

Free to apply

The NH Veteran-Friendly Business Network, launched in spring 2020, is run by the Department of Military Affairs and Veterans Services with NH Employment Security. It recognises businesses, organisations, colleges and schools for policies and practices that serve service members, veterans and their families. You get a certificate signed by the NH Adjutant General, a custom-designed logo for promotional use, and access to the veteran talent pool the network reaches. The application is free. Worth noting what it actually screens for, because it is stricter than a logo programme normally is: you must be in good standing with the Secretary of State, current on Unemployment Insurance taxes and all Department of Revenue taxes, in good standing with the Department of Labor including workers' compensation, and have NO USERRA violations in the past 24 months. That last one gives the mark real meaning.

Who qualifiesBased in or with locations in New Hampshire; in good standing with the Secretary of State; not delinquent on Unemployment Insurance taxes; in good standing with the Department of Labor including workers' compensation; no USERRA violations in the past 24 months; and all required taxes current with the Department of Revenue. Veteran ownership is not required.
