Free VOBE and SDVOBE certification — but no set-aside, and Delaware says so
Free; 4–6 weeks; valid 3 years
The Office of Supplier Diversity certifies both Veteran Owned Business Enterprises and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business Enterprises. Certification is free, takes four to six weeks, and expires three years from the original certification date. Now the honest bit, quoted from OSD's own FAQ: asked "Are there any set-asides for MVWBEs?" the answer is "No." The only Delaware set-aside mandate it points to is the State Use Law under Title 16, Chapter 96, which serves disabled and partially disabled persons and is a different programme. Certification here buys visibility to state agencies, documented status and competitive positioning — not reserved work. Plan accordingly rather than discovering it after you certify.
Who qualifiesA for-profit business at least 51% owned AND controlled in its daily operations by a veteran — including those who served in the US military and were honorably discharged, and those who served or continue to serve in the National Guard. Certified by the Office of Supplier Diversity.
