The Space Coast has a vibe that's half NASA history museum, half Jimmy Buffett fever dream, and your morning commute takes you past the same roads the Apollo astronauts drove. Orlando is an hour west for when you need a theme park to process the fact that your job involves actual rockets leaving the planet. The fishing is world-class, the cost of living is reasonable by Florida standards, and the base is positioned between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River Lagoon in a way that makes your Instagram look like a travel blog. Night launches will ruin you for every other human experience. The sonic booms from returning boosters are just background noise now.
