Where the rubber meets the road for every Marine who just survived boot camp. Infantry goes through ITB — 8 intense weeks of patrolling, live-fire, and wondering if your knees will survive. Non-infantry gets MCT, a shorter crash course in "every Marine a rifleman." Camp Pendleton or Camp Lejeune, depending on where boot camp spit you out. The culture shock from boot camp to SOI is real — more autonomy, more responsibility, same high standards.
