Got a wild idea? We build for service members — not the brass, not shareholders. If it's good, it ships.

Det 675 at OU sits in a state saturated with Air Force real estate, and that geography defines the program. Tinker AFB — home of the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex, the 552nd Air Control Wing, and one of the DoD's largest maintenance complexes — is just 25 miles from campus; OU has a formal cooperative research agreement with Tinker making it the primary engineering and computer science partner for the base. Altus AFB, where Air Mobility Command trains heavy aircraft crews, is two hours west. The detachment hosts visits and internship pipelines to both installations, giving cadets exposure to airlift, tanker, intelligence, and logistics culture that most programs can only simulate. The wing is mid-size and described as close-knit and supportive rather than overly competitive.
