Got a wild idea? We build for service members — not the brass, not shareholders. If it's good, it ships.

Ohio State's NROTC battalion is headquartered in Converse Hall, just north of Ohio Stadium — the heart of one of the largest and most sports-focused campuses in the country. The unit commissions approximately 28 officers annually and operates with both Navy and Marine Corps options, with Marine midshipmen assigned to a distinct company with additional physical training and pre-OCS preparation. Ohio State's engineering programs feed the submarine and nuclear surface warfare communities, and the university's MECEP and STA-21 programs mean active-duty Sailors and Marines are enrolled in the battalion alongside traditional midshipmen. The Columbus location is inland but the unit competes well in inter-university events. Service selection at Ohio State spans the full spectrum including special warfare. The campus military culture at Ohio State is broadly supportive, and the unit maintains high visibility during football season and commissioning ceremonies.
