Got a wild idea? We build for service members — not the brass, not shareholders. If it's good, it ships.

Minnesota's Golden Gopher Battalion is one of the larger Midwest host programs, serving nearly 200 cadets from 11 partner schools across the Twin Cities — including Bethel, St. Catherine's, Hamline, Metro State, and North Central. A striking internal statistic: 115 of those cadets are simultaneously serving in the Minnesota Army National Guard as enlisted soldiers, making the program one of the most Guard-integrated in the country and creating a cadet cohort with a high proportion of prior-service experience. That culture shapes the program: cadets with enlisted background take academic military science concepts more seriously when they have seen them applied at the soldier level. The program has placed first overall in the light team category at the Sandhurst-qualifying competition, reflecting genuine tactical and physical competitiveness. Minnesota's 34th Infantry Division, the Red Bulls, has one of the most decorated recent-war records of any Guard division and offers strong GRFD pathways for cadets who want Guard service. Branch selection at Minnesota trends toward engineer, MI, and logistics given the industrial and STEM talent pool of the Twin Cities metro. The diverse partner school population brings in more varied academic backgrounds than most host programs.
