Got a wild idea? We build for service members — not the brass, not shareholders. If it's good, it ships.

Det 155 at the University of Miami — shared with Homestead ARB's surrounding campus community — is one of AFROTC's most internationally diverse programs, drawing students from across the Caribbean and Latin America alongside South Florida's military community. Homestead ARB (486th Fighter Squadron, reserve F-16 wing) sits 30 miles south. NAS Key West and Patrick SFB are within a few hours. Nine recent cadets received You Can Fly and You Can Certify aviation scholarships providing actual flight training — a funded pathway to building stick time before UPT. The international student body creates a natural pipeline into the Air Force's foreign military sales, attaché, and international affairs career fields. Miami's private-university environment means smaller class sizes and closer cadre-cadet relationships than the big state programs.
