Got a wild idea? We build for service members — not the brass, not shareholders. If it's good, it ships.

About This Program

The CU Boulder NROTC unit ranks among the top producers of Navy SEAL candidates and Marine Corps officers nationally, second only to the service academies. The unit hosts the annual Colorado Meet, the largest ROTC competition in the country, drawing over 20 universities and nearly 500 cadets — a logistical and competitive accomplishment that defines the unit's culture. CU is also the only university in Colorado hosting all five major ROTC branches simultaneously. Alpha Company (Marine Option) and Bravo Company (Navy Option) train distinctly: Marines work land navigation, patrolling, and field exercises in Jacks Valley with sub-freezing temperatures and significant elevation change; Navy midshipmen focus on damage control, seamanship, and casualty response. Colorado's distance from the ocean is real, but the quality of training and SEAL pipeline placement compensate.
