About This Installation
Spain's primary Atlantic naval base and largest arsenal. Home port of Spanish Navy F-100 Álvaro de Bazán-class (Aegis) destroyers and S-80 submarines under construction. Naval HQ of the Atlantic Maritime Zone. Ferrol has been Spain's main naval shipbuilding center for over 200 years, with Navantia constructing frigates and submarines here.
