Prime BEEF deployments will put you in austere locations building electrical infrastructure from scratch, which is genuinely satisfying work that also happens in heat and dust and timeline pressure. What the brochure forgot about 3E9X1: you'll train personnel in CBRN response, coordinate exercises, develop plans, and build the preparedness infrastructure that installation leadership doesn't think about until there's an emergency — at which point your planning either pays off or gets retroactively blamed. Both know what 0500 feels like. They just disagree about what it's for.
