Two ETS dates. Two out-processing briefs. Two very different answers to "what are you going to do now?" The 2R1X1 spent their enlistment doing this: airlines and MRO facilities hire from military maintenance production backgrounds for operations center and scheduling positions. The 2A2X1 spent theirs doing this: the equipment ranges from specialized ground vehicles to recovery systems and the maintenance environment reflects the AFSOC operational tempo. One of these resumes writes itself. The other requires explanation, a whiteboard, and possibly interpretive dance. A recruiter once described both of these as "high-speed." The definition of speed was not specified.
