The pride comes from knowing that morale lives and dies with chow quality. A good cook is genuinely beloved by their unit. The civilian career path is direct: restaurants, catering, institutional food service, and hospitality. Combined with management experience and a USMAP apprenticeship, you can build a solid career in an industry that always needs people.
