Data entry errors are your enemy and sometimes your daily reality. The work is detail-intensive and the operational tempo is administrative rather than field-based. The upside: 0171s develop real database and information management skills, and the civilian HR-tech and data management sectors value that experience. Your Marine Corps record will show systems administration and data governance work that translates well — if you can explain it in civilian terms. Schools and formal training are available; use them.
