Two weeks of becoming the Marine who teaches MCMAP — which means you need to be technically perfect, physically superior, and patient enough to teach a PFC how to throw a proper hip toss. The Martial Arts Instructor course covers advanced techniques, teaching methodology, and safety management. MAI graduates are the backbone of Marine Corps combatives training, and the tan belts fear and respect you equally.
