Marine Expeditionary Warfare School

Ten months at Quantico where Marine captains learn expeditionary warfare at the operational level, which is a fancy way of saying "how to plan an amphibious assault while running a staff on four hours of sleep." EWS is academically rigorous and physically demanding in the way only the Marine Corps can combine. The wargaming exercises are genuinely excellent. Your peers here will be your battalion commanders in 15 years.
