Annual BASOPS for Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, California — the largest Marine Corps base in the world at 932 square miles of Mojave Desert. "The Box" is where every Marine Expeditionary Brigade conducts combined arms live-fire exercises before deployment. MCAGCC trains Marine units in the most realistic large-scale combat scenario available. O&M covers 50+ range complexes, the only Marine Corps weapons and tactics instructor course outside Yuma, and support for approximately 16,000 military and civilian personnel.
