Annual BASOPS for Edwards AFB, California — the Air Force's premier flight test center. The 412th Test Wing has evaluated every Air Force aircraft since the X-1 broke the sound barrier here in 1947. Edwards hosts testing for F-35, B-21 Raider, and next-generation systems. O&M covers 470 square miles of restricted airspace, specialized test instrumentation, and support for approximately 14,000 military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
