Seven weeks of learning to feed thousands of sailors on a ship with a kitchen smaller than most Applebee's. CS A-School covers mass feeding, menu planning, nutrition, and food safety at industrial scale. The running joke across the fleet is about Navy food quality, but good CSs are worth their weight in gold — morale lives and dies in the galley. The ServSafe cert and the experience scale to hotel and restaurant management on the outside.
