Cape May, New Jersey — the only Coast Guard basic training facility and the smallest boot camp in the DoD. Don't let the size fool you; the swim qualifications wash people out before they even get to the military stuff. Eight weeks of seamanship, firefighting, and learning that "Semper Paratus" means you're always getting voluntold. The secret the other branches won't tell you: this boot camp has one of the highest standards per capita.
