Annual BASOPS for U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, Connecticut — the smallest and most selective of the five federal military academies, accepting approximately 300 cadets annually from a highly competitive selection process (no Congressional nomination required). The Academy's graduation ceremony is traditionally attended by the President. O&M covers academic facilities, the Corps of Cadets, the research cutter Eagle, and support for approximately 1,100 cadets and 700 military and civilian personnel.
