Annual BASOPS for U.S. Army Garrison Poland — the Army's newest garrison, supporting the forward presence of the 1st Cavalry Division's rotational armored brigade at Bemowo Piskie and the V Corps forward element at Camp Kosciuszko in Poznan. Poland's NATO eastern flank position, bordering Russia's Kaliningrad exclave and Belarus, makes this the most operationally sensitive Army garrison in Europe.
