Annual BASOPS for Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona — home to Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1), which conducts the Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) course — the Marine Corps equivalent of TOPGUN for all aviation platforms. Yuma's unrestricted desert airspace and consistent VMC weather make it ideal for intensive combined arms training. O&M supports approximately 9,000 military and civilian personnel.
